Morgan Le Fay and her varlets

Merlin's Secret

Merlin's Secret is a play commissioned by us from writer and director Tim Heath. It opened in September 2005 and is an exciting presentation of the tale of King Arthur which includes magic, dance and song.

Merlin the Magician cannot fight the evil sorceress Morgan Le Fay on his own. Despite his considerable magical powers, he needs the help of a young hero who is destined to become King of England - Arthur. Merlin must now explain Arthur’s past and future and educate the young hero in secret so that Morgan Le Fay will not learn of the imminent threat to her power. Arthur learns swordcraft and some magic secrets from Merlin. However, the magician keeps back one vital secret.

Almost all of the magic and illusions have been created especially for this production, and include some spectacular, unusual and original effects. The famed Bondini doves are featured, together with some fire and water effects and there are some audience participation opportunities.
